What is mold?

Mold is an essential component of our planet's ecosystem providing decomposition of many organic substances necessary to plants, animals, and human life. However, it is also the case that excessive exposures to molds have been a health issue for humans for many years.

Molds have been found growing in private homes, office buildings, schools, automobiles and other locations where organic matter and water are left unattended.
